my wife claims carers allowance for me.
I'm on the higher rate PIP.
Could anyone tell me what savings we are allowed in bank before penalties please.
Many Thanks.

Hi @williamsin, welcome to the Scope online community

I'll start with PIP as that is easy, PIP is not means-tested at all. So it does not take into account any earnings or savings.
Carer's Allowance has an earnings limit of £151 per week (after tax and other deductions). However there is no savings restrictions with Carer's Allowance.
So the two benefits you've mentioned will not be affected by your savings in the bank.
Other benefits, such as Universal Credit, can be affected if you receive those however.0 -
Thank you so much jimm,
Thanks for the quick response also.0
