Contribution only ESA and no HB migration

 Just read on another well known forum that they are also migrating contribution based only onto UC.I didnt think this was the the case.Has something changed recently? I have no HB as savings over £16K. Thanks.

You have either misunderstood what you read or the person that posted that has given incorrect information. 

Contrubutions based and New style ESA are not part of UC so will not be migrated across.

Some people are still claiming the old contributions based ESA which may include the Income Related top up, if so then yes they will be migrated across for the Income Related top up part but their contributions based part will continue as normal but be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.

   That confirms how i understood the situation. The incorrect comments where later corrected by a different moderator later in the thread, as it had caused multiple people the same concerns.

Hi hello I'm new to your chat so hopefully you can help me going forward as iam so confused, 
My contribution esa is coming to an end this month and I have just won my appeal for lcwra i have only had a letter of dwp to say my esa will finish but no explaining the next step in regards to my lcwra can you kindly explain any of this for me thankyou.will I be put in the support group.?

Yes, you will now be placed into the Support Group for ESA and it will continue for as long as you remain entitled to it. 

If this was a Tribunal decision then it may take a while for the award to be put into place. 

If it was a Tribunal For Universal Credit then I’d advise you to contact ESA to tell them.

Thankyou poppy it was a tribunal decision so once my contribution esa stops I just havet to wait to here from them, as long as I know now thankyou .

Sorry poppy may I just ask , not sounding silly is Lcwra and Lcw both entitlement for the surrport group .

LCWRA is Support Group for ESA. LCW is the work group. (WRAG)
