Hi ATM we haven't been asked to move to universal credit.
I get employment support allowance support group high rate . Personal independence payment High rate full both elements.
I get housing benefit too .
My daughter gets high rate pip and income support and is my carer.

What happens when I'm asked to change . Do I have to go through another assessment again I cannot work.
Do I get the lcwra automatically as I'm on esa support group which doesn't expect me to work.
Also what happens to housing benefit which is paid in full.

I don't react well to change and if I'm honest if I have to go to jobcentre I'd probably just end things as I don't leave the house atall haven't for 2 years .
Any help thanks

You will not need another WCA as your ESA award will transfer across with you. However, you will need to make sure that once you have access to a journal that you put a message on that to tell them which group you were in when claiming ESA. You will very likely be asked to provide a fit note as part of the claims process but please do NOT provide that fit note, there's no need for that at all. If you do that they could refer you for another WCA. (I'm not saying this would happen but it could) It may take a few weeks for ESA to send your details across to UC. Once this is done you will be asked to agree to a new claimant commitment. If in the Support Group for ESA then that would be LCWRA for UC and your commitments would be to agree to report all changes. No other commitments.

Your Income Related  ESA and housing benefit will continue for 2 weeks and then stop. Your first UC payment will be 1 month and 6 days after submitting your claim. You can request an advance payment but this does need to be repaid back so please bear that in mind.

Some people's ESA will be part contributions based, this will continue as normal but be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.

Heya @meow92 and welcome to the community. :)

I can see you're already getting some top advice, I just wanted to pop in and say a quick hello. I'm just going to move your discussion over to the UC category, so more people will be able to see, I hope that's ok?
