Hi could I have some advice.

I'm a single dad and I get approx £700 a month in UC. The child element is approx £333. It looks like my son due to gang issues may have to live full time with his mum. The rest is made up of wages and limited capacity for work related activities, as I am on pip. I have done a benefits calculator and I lose literally everything. I get I lose the child element but am I right in saying that my entitlement for all is based on my wages so when I got awarded limited capacity I had the child element already. So how can I get an amount of Uc fir work related activity, lose the child element and over all lose approx £620 pounds in all.

When you filled out the benefits calculator did you tick the box that says LCWRA? If you did then it would have include this element as well as the work allowance. If you didn't then it won't include the work allowance and it would have used your earnings to calculate entitlement without the work allowance.

UC is one benefit made up of many different elements. Earnings above the work allowance (for those that are entitled) will reduce your UC by 55p for every £1 above it. If you claim for help with the rent your work allowance will be £404/month, if you don't then your work allowance will be £673/month.

Yes, you are correct that entitlement is based on earnings received each month. Whether there's any entitlement will depend on how much net earnings you receive monthly and what your maximum UC entitlement is before deductions.
