PIP Renewal/Current Claim Ending
Hi I completed my PIP renewal form approx 4/5 months ago and received a text message to say it had been received. My current PIP claim ends on 24th June 24. Will my renewal now be automatically extended for a year? And/or do I need to contact PIP as apart from their text message I have heard nothing else from them. Thanks

Heya @rachelh72 I'm glad they've received your renewal form. I expect you'll receive a letter soon saying your award has been extended for a year. Mine didn't arrive until two weeks before my award was due to end. So it was a bit nerve wracking, but due to the backlogs, all awards are being extended by a year. Hopefully it wont take that long though. :)

Letters to say that your award is extended are usually sent out around 35 days before your award is due to end. It can take up to about 2 weeks to receive post from DWP so the 2 weeks that Albus advised is spot on. Mine also ends on 26th June and returned my form at the end of November last year and I've received 2 texts since I returned it. The last one was advising they still have my review form.
