New life for CASCAIDr
Belinda Schwehr (pictured here), the founder of its original parent company, CASCAIDr the charity, is heading up a new management team.
CASCAIDr CIC has been approved
Following the sad demise of online legal advice charity CASCAIDr, I’m happy to be able to report that CASCAIDr CIC has now been approved by the Community Interest Company Regulator.
The new CIC is not a charity, but will still operate on a not-for-profit basis, offering a wide range of material about health and social care legal rights.
Free expert information and analysis
• Its expert legal framework information and analysis will all be FREE, on a re-configured, much more easily navigable CASCAIDr Database.
• Its one-off Q&A service will be resumed, too – free answers to questions posed at a level of principle.
• Management will be pontificating via Podcasts – and Belinda will be doing a weekly Blogspot, in what’s going to be a key election topic
• And OSCAR, (a tool for Online Social Care Advice about Rights) will be available later this year, to provide the public with the words and references needed, to assert Care Act legal rights in writing, to one’s local council or ICB.
Alert Service to support this output financially
To make all of that output work, sustainably, however, CASCAIDr CIC needs as many people as possible to pay just £25 per year for an Alert Service.
It will give subscribers direct links to analysis on the CASCAIDr CIC Database, and elsewhere – and for each item, just one line of insight into why the item is worth reading up about.
The aim is to save busy people and exhausted carers the time they’d otherwise spend, if trawling and learning, on their own.
This Alert Service also offers three optional WhatsApp Groups – a choice of whichever one makes the most sense, in terms of a community of like-minded people and peer support.
Are you ready to support this in principle?
Many previous clients and supporters of CASCAIDr have already indicated their willingness to support this venture, through signing up to the Alert Service in principle.
An indication in principle only, is all the CIC is looking for – it will help provide a firm foundation for launching. Here is the form: (external link will open in a new browser tab or window).
The launch date is likely to be in early June 2024.
