UC50 Forgot to give Drs consent, interview on tuesday!!

Hi guys,
Foolishly due to adhd and bi polar, i find filling in forms a nightmare. i usually have a friend to help, but unfortunately she was not availbe when i filled in my UC50 in november last year.
I did however take photos of it and noticed today that in the section giving drs consent i forgot to fill any of it in. me being me, i didnt notice until today, my health assessment via telehphone is on tuesday. Ive put a message in my journal, will ring them tomorrow and will inform the interviewer on tuesday that i do give permission.
Will they be able to contact my drs at this late stage and get his input?
i read it can still take 3 months for them to come to a decesion. on the uc50 it says you can chnage your mind to give or not give consent, it does not specificy a time frame. im very stressed though this is in character haha. I never said i didnt give or not give consent, i left the whole thing blank and forgot to do it.
can anyone shed some light please?
thanks in advance
Tom

They very rarely contact your Doctor but yes let the assessor you forgot to consent.

really? any idea why not?

The DWP rarely bother to do it really @Tomwise, they mostly just go by how your assessment goes. You can always provide them with evidence from your doctor, but it's rare for the DWP to contact them independently.

It's your responsibility to prove you qualify and not their's. I've had 4 (I think) work capability assessments in 11 years and only once have they contacted a GP.

may i ask one more thing. Do i need to send them more evidence than what i did in november? i honestly cant remember what ive sent them. So i need to send them upto date fit notes?
im doing pip at exactly the same time, health assessment is tuesday pip tribunal is wednesday and im getting quite confused.

as in send them physical hard copies, not just report a new fitnote online.

I can't tell you whether you need to send more evidence because I don't know what you've sent. Fit notes are not needed for the WCA itself because they are not proof you have limited capability for work. Fit notes are needed for your UC claim.
