Backdating carers element

I’ve just started getting carers element for my daughter as she gets DLA and needs a lot of support.. I didn’t know carers element was a thing till a month ago so I applied and now I have got it.
Just wondering if anyone has actually got backdated CE? I have been on UC for 2 years while working as it helped to pay for my sons nursery but now he’s not I Don’t get much apart from the disability element. Has anyone actually had a back pay as I can’t find anyone that has! ☹️
