I was given an award for LCWRA on the 19th of this month and have given over 6 months worth of fit notes does anyone know when a payment will be made ? The letter is so confusing to read and it says something about 3 months after my evidence like fit notes and stuff but it's been over 6 months now I could use to help pls.

Kind regards

Mrhawksy

Heya @mrhawksy and welcome to the community. 😁

That doesn't sound right at all, it's usually on the 4th payment cycle that you'll start receiving LCWRA payments. Have you left a note on your UC journal under 'payments' to ask what's going on?

Yes I only left it on Friday gone tho I asked if someone could explain it to me through ask my work coach on the tusedays but heard nothing back so I out one on payments on Friday gone still nothing back so I'm hoping someone gets back to me by Monday I just don't understand it all as the letter doesn't really make it easy to understand

You haven't given any information for me to be able to advise you, so I will need some information.

1/ What date exactly did you provide your first fit note?

2/ What date do you usually receive your money each month?

The decision letters are standard letters and it never tells you anymore information than what was in it.

The first sick note was given in February and my payment date is the 24th of this month

There were 29 days in February and I need the exact date you provided it. Without knowing that I can't tell you when to expect first payment. You can look back on your journal to see exactly what date it was.

Your waiting period will be Feb/March, March/April, April/May.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 18th May to 17th June and first payment is 24th June. This means they owe you 1 months LCWRA element for this month because there wouldn't have been anytime for them to add the element to your statement for this month.

This is assuming there were no gaps in your fit notes up until a decision was made and you're not claiming UC with a partner that already receives this element on your claim.

No there wasn't any gaps in the fit notes and I don't have a partner, so I take it I will receive it on the 24th of next month now since they didn't have time to add it to my statement.

And thsnk you so much for helping me everyone your all amazing

Once UC process the LCWRA decision, you should get back pay separately for the LCWRA element May/June.

Then from next month it will be on your scheduled statement.

It should be sent as a separate payment once the DWP have processed the LCWRA decision.

No one here can tell you when that will be.

When it's been done, a letter will be put onto your journal confirming they owe you money and the payment details.

Very often it can take quite a few weeks to pay what is owed.
