PIP tribunal today
good morning,
I have my PIP tribunal this afternoon, after two years of fighting to get this far and then waiting a year for an actual hearing date.
I’m a mixture of feelings, I’m very very anxious, nervous and feel abit sick but I know I need to get through this as there’s been plenty of times through the whole experience I’ve wanted to just throw the towel in.
a quick basic back ground on my claim is I have Mixed Anxiety and depression disorder and severe PTSD. I was awarded 11 point and got given standard rate but even though I’m on rescue medication for my anxiety and I can’t even leave the house, which is noted in my medical notes , even if prompted the dwp didn’t seem concerned and said I can do that blah blah blah.
so I appealed in May 2023 and since then have been supplying evidence from all my mental health appointments to the court. During the process the DWP did say they won’t change their minds and didn’t want the court to send any more evidence to them, so I’m sort of hoping that is going in my favour more than theirs and this whole process has caused nothing but severe deliberating anxiety which has made my insomnia the worst it’s ever been.
I will update later once I’ve had hearing but for those awaiting theirs , please never give up, it’s a very very hard and draining process but we have a good fight in all of us so please never throw in the towel. L x

@Lou67 Thank you,
Husband is going to stop at the garage on way there to get some cold water and I have a huge folder all labeled and bullet points for the bits I’m appealing against. I’m sat shaking worse now than I was earlier so I just hope I manage ok.
