UC review message
hi
Could anyone else tell me if they have had this exact same message from UC please?.
I made my first UC claim in November 23 when my husband died suddenly,we had been in receipt of a war pension up to that date.
I have had a message in my journal that seems to be different to everyone else’s I can find(see attached)
My message says a phone call before they have asked me for anything,is that normal?
I suffer badly with anxiety and agrophobia as well as being disabled so don’t want to spend a full 8 days worrying.

We are reviewing your Universal Credit claim to make sure your payments are correct.
As part of the review, you will need to send us information to confirm your details.
We will call you on 15/07/24, between 12:00 and 12:30, to discuss the review and what happens next.

Yes that looks like a perfectly normal UC check up. It's basically to prove you are who you say you are and to make sure you're receiving the right amount of UC, so it's nothing to worry about.

I was wondering why it is worded differently to all the others i have seen.
They seem to get asked for things and then the phone call after where mine is straight to a phone call.
They haven’t asked me for anything beforehand.
I was wondering if it might be a identity check rather than a full review.
It’s all very new to be the benefit system so it makes me nervous

Totally normal and nothing to worry about.
Lots of us here in Scope have had them, check out the Universal Credit section of the forum.

Yes I have but still can’t find any like mine.
Everyone seems to get the request to send info and then get the phone call.
I am very anxious about it and am kind of fixated on why mine if different it’s part of my condition.
I just wondered if anyone had received one worded the same as mine

The message you've received is perfectly normal. It's part of the process for them to ask for ID to confirm your identity for this review. They may also ask for 4 months of bank statements.

The lady has just rang me instead of replying to the journal.
She has asked for ID and 4 months bank statements and was very reassuring.
Now to find my old tan out passport 😂
