I have applied for esa and sent my fit note that states i have cancer i also have recently been awarded the enhanced daily living and standard mobility for pip. Today a received a txt to say i have a phone appointment tomorrow to enable me to agree to my commitments, what does this mean?, also will i automatically go in the support group? and what are the next steps after this, i am no longer employed as was made redundant last month so cracking year so far

Claimant commitments for ESA would just be to agree to report any changes. You would be entitled to ESA payments if you have the correct NI contributions from the previous 2 tax years.
You will automatically be placed into the Support Group if the following applies.
You are receiving treatment for cancer by way of chemotherapy or radiotherapy
For this to apply you must either be actually receiving it, or:
you are likely to receive such treatment within 6 months; or
you are recovering from such treatment.If that does apply when you receive the ESA50 form you need to make sure you fill in the section about cancer. You must also make sure your Consultant or health Professional or GP signs the form.
