Summer?
When's Summer? π€£ Awful miserable weather here in north east England at the minute. Forecast for rain all weekend, again. We've had a few 'warm' days with the sun popping out for an hour then grey skies and very close. The kids break up for their Summer holidays Friday so am hoping we get to see our Grandkids a bit more often. Am I the only one who loves when the kids are off school? π
Hoping to be able to get the pool filled for the Summer. I just bought the kids loads of new floaties and hoping to have a pool party for them over the six weeks.
What's it like where you are? And do you have any plans for the Summer break?

I agree about there not really being a summer
When summer does come everyone just complains that it's too hot though, I have missed summer I have to admit but I haven't missed the moaning π

I think summer in the UK means above 10 degree's nowadays π€£ We only really get one week a year thats really nice and thats it, so blink and you miss it.

I'm not going to lieβ¦.
I prefer this summer to the heatwaves and 25+ degree weather. I don't feel too hot, I don't mind the rain! There's still enough sunshine that it's nice to get out, just need to remember an umbrella!2 -
I'm with Jimm on this one!
This current climate suits me perfectly and nature is blooming beautifully from all the rain.
Heatwaves in a city are no fun. On the coast or in a garden would make it more bearable but I'd rather stay out of the sun and keep my youthful skin, thank you very much!

Me too. This summer has been tolerable for me so far, in terms of temperature anyway. I was dreading another one stuck in an upstairs flat! We have had a couple of heatwaves here, around 30c indoors for about a week at a time. But fortunately they didn't last too long. I still think we'll see another few hot weeks over the next couple of months, but hopefully nothing like last year.

I like the current temperature too, it's comfortable
I just try to appreciate whatever the weather is, you can't change it so just make the most of it
Sorry if I made anyone misunderstand
I was just saying that if people did get the hot summer they wanted they'd just moan about it being too hot π

Same here, OverlyAnxious, under a roof which traps all the day's heat then it's 30* at night..
I don't glow like a lady or perspire like a man. No, I sweat like a horse π

When it's warm the top floor of our house goes above 30C. I remember a heatwave last year it reached 40C. We had to sleep downstairs because it was just far too hot, even if the window wide open and trying to blast cool air in with a fan.

I got too hot once @Jimm_Scope
I have to wear lots of clothes and stay covered up because of my issues but a while ago I got off a plane when it was 36C outside and decided I had to take off my coat and wooly hat because it was a bit warm π€―

What summer? Last week I had to put the heating on one evening because It was cold. Last night I woke up cold too so had to put a blanket over my duvet. I've got a summer duvet on but have been tempted to change it to a thicker one.
I detest cold weather, it makes my pain so much worse. I would much prefer hot weather. Role on my holiday in September, counting the days for some hot sun!

We have had such a lot of rain and wind here in Cornwall.
We have only had a few nice sunny days.
The evenings seem to be drawing in a bit but the sky is cloudy. π

Usually look forward to Summer I love washing so I love drying it outside. Last year wasn't the best for drying outside. To be fair there has been a few days here and there but today has been rubbish. Absolutely rubbish rubbish rubbish.

@Strawberry1 I'm the same π I'm obsessed with laundry. Love washing, drying, ironing. Today I have three or four loads to do and it looks like we might get a dry day here in Tyne and Wear, finally. Nothing better than seeing your washing lines filled. I had an indoor line installed last year for small things like socks, tea towels etc so use that when the weather's rubbish.

Good luck with your laundry @Venus_Cee . Our weather at present seems dry thank goodness π . The weather is saying today, Wednesday and Friday are going to be dry . Hoping and praying for some good weather this week lol π.

It's feeling a bit more like summer now? It's 20-21C, sunny, scattered showers still but that still feels summery to me.
