Life Altering ... Not Life Changing ...

I've been absent for a while … I hope everyone is as well as can be

I took some time off from all socials as I digest a new diagnosis of RRMS.

For the past year my daughter has been pushing me to seek an opinion as her professional opinion as a paramedic was my Fibromyalgia wasn't the only thing wrong with me as the flare ups are constant. Scans and a lumbar puncture (so dooo not want one of them again …) proved her right.

Ironically I had the diagnosis 2 days after I finished my EMDR with the Psychologist 😁

I've come to terms with it now, it's altering my life not changing it. I've got great support familial and medical … it's just one more fight and another I will do with a smile and the occasional scream. As a policeman once said to me … you're a fighter not a runner …

People stare at my outer scars, my missing digits … now I can smile and think "there's a few things you can't see … if only you knew"

I had enough personal pity parties when I couldn't cope with the memories of my rape, that is behind me (can't help laughing at how that's metaphorical and was literal 😛)… I'm stronger now and can face whatever life throws at me. And I can get a RADAR key … no more panic when I got to go pee in seconds win win

It sucks, but not going to define me or own me. TMI ? I dunno but my explain any absences if anyone is interested in the drivel I can spout … or the music I post

Good morning it’s great to see you back posting. I’m so sorry that you’ve had another new thing diagnosed but at least now you’re better equipped to deal with it.
It’s great you have the support off your family as that’s a massive help.

Look after yourself and again nice to have you back,

    ❤️

Nice to see you posting @WelshBlue! It's good that you've got some answers for what's going on for you, but it must be hard dealing with a new diagnosis. It sounds like you've got some great support though and I hope you're managing okay with everything. We're always here if you need to chat about stuff or just share some more music. No pressure though if you're not feeling up to it yet! 😊
