Hello everybody my name is Alan me and the wife are retired and claim Pension Credit because our Old age Pension is not very clever but we keep getting pesterd by th DWP about sending bank statements in to them and how much we have in the bank threatning to stop or money etc Please can anybody tell us how much you are allowed in the bank as a retired couple claiming Pension Credit ? Thanks.

There's no maximum amount allowed when claiming PC. The amount is £10,000 and for every £500 or part thereof over that amount there's a £1/week deduction in your PC.
