Unexpected Payment **** Is It For?

Dear All

I know I can get the correct answer by calling the DWP. But...
This morning just before 12 midday I received a notification from my bank with a deposit of £318.10 with a reference of (I Don't Know If This Is Sensitive Information)

         GBQ CPS FP ACC 3

But what is this for?
It's ESA payday tomorrow not today!
Has the DWP moved me over to UC without giving me any notice? Or is this a mistake by the DWP?
I daren't spend any of it incase it is a mistake on their part!

Also is this a four weekly payment or just two?

The code means; GB - Great Britain. CPS - Central Payment System. FP - Fast Payment. ACC3 - The DWP account it has been paid from.

So someone from the DWP has done a manual fast payment to you for some reason. What that reason is, none of us could say unfortunately.

Is this your PIP backpay?

No-one is switched to UC automatically. If you haven't started the migration process, you won't be on UC yet.

Hello old and grumpy, i know it’s a few months later but I’m new to this forum and not yet sure of the etiquette. Did you ever work out what this was all about? I just had exactly the same payment ref today. Payment is less than a normal payment (which was due today with this odd one in its place) I’ve had a migration letter but it assured me nothing would change before the deadline. I have until 14th March to make a UC claim. I also had a text yesterday stating I needed to call dwp ‘straight away’ concearning my esa. These messages from them are quite worrying. I’ve had more reviews and assessments than find I can deal with sometimes. I struggle to make phone calls and it’s on all my documentation so they should know and Relay wasn’t answered when I tried. However, the sun has just come out and all will be well eventually I think. I’ll need to wait until I can ask my freind to call them for me but if you have any information regarding the outcome of your earlier post or if anyone else can shed some light on these unusual payments I’d be very interested to learn from you.
