Pip Assessment

Good morning,

I had a telephone assessment yesterday which I think went well. I have just called requesting a PA4 form.

Can anyone please explain to me what the form will contain? Will it show how many points I got in each category? If it's a positive assessment in my favor will I likely be awarded some form of PIP? Thanks for your time.

Harvey

Hi @Harvey2609 - the assessment form will just show the assessor's opinion & their recommendation; only a decision maker can award any points. The decision maker does normally go along with the assessor's recommendation, but that's not always the case as we've seen.

You'll see ticks against each descriptor, & can see what has been recommended if you look here:

Just add this to your browser. Sorry hyperlinks not working again for me today

I received a text this morning saying I was awarded PIP. Does anyone know how long before I receive my backdated lump sum?

Congrats @Harvey2609! There will be a letter sent out to you that says when you will receive your first payment, though I've heard that it isn't uncommon for the first payment to start before you get the letter.

The backdated pay takes a little longer due to it being a large lump sum payment. It may take a few weeks!
