Hi @cossa, welcome to the community 😊

Sorry to hear you're struggling to go out at the moment. If you speak to your GP they should be able to refer you to be assessed by Wheelchair Services. They'll take a look at your needs and see what might work best for you. There's some information about it on the NHS website if you'd like to read up on it:

Walking aids, wheelchairs and mobility scooters - Social care and support guide - NHS (www.nhs.uk)

If you'd prefer to try one out for a while to see how you get on, the Red Cross also do wheelchair hire:

Rent or hire a wheelchair | British Red Cross

Hope you can get something sorted soon!

Just a note about Red Cross hire, only manual, not electric, been down that road.

BTW another road I've been down, a company that hires out mobility aids and practically faints with how helpful it is on its Website, but offers zero help with delivery, just wants a courier to dump a huge box on you, not even a slot offered, so you can get a friend round at the time.

How you actually get things that are supposedly readily available is the current bee in my bonnet.

If you think you need a mobility scooter or whellchair, don’t delay and try to find money for it, if you can’t get it for free. Destruction of the body will be more painful and more expensive. If you can drive while standing, this is an option for an e-scooter or segway. Remember, your health is most important.
