Free Courses in England
Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to go about doing a course with Free Courses in England whilst on LCWRA?
Do you have to get permission from / declare anything with UC? It would be a short course - up to 5 hours a week for up to 12 weeks
I don't want to do anything that with jeopardise my claim 😕 but I'm also conscious that things are going to change & would like to at least work towards something if I'm able to return to work at any point

Hey @CountryMimi, I'm sorry your query has so far gone unanswered. Universal Credit can be claimed alongside studying a part-time course, which is a course under 12 hours a week. It shouldn't affect your claim, the only possible thing I can think of is if what you are doing in the course contradicts the reason you are on LCWRA.
Did you end up signing onto the course at all? Or did you get an answer elsewhere to your question?
