Hi, my name is GerryofCumbria!
What?
I just spent 15 minutes saying all about me and my wheelchair needs, and the website just refreshed and threw all my typing away.
Hopeless. Bye.

I'm so sorry that happened @GerryofCumbria. I hope that you're able to come back and talk about your needs again.

Again - all text thrown away.

It could be the spam filter playing up again, which happens sometimes. Once the scope team start working tomorrow morning they will post any comments queued up due to that issue.

Oh ok Rachel…Mr grumpy tries again..
Hi - My Needs Summary
Recently I learned that I had Heart Failure…serious failure.
I knew something was wrong when I increasingly found I could not walk more than ~20 metres without, gasp, gasp, pant, sit down. Ces’t la vie, more drugs than you can wave a stick at…on-going.
So, I am not really that old. Oh, ok so I am that oldish, but still desirable and youngish at heart.
But, I have a 4.5 acre property and I want to get round and enjoy fresh air, prune, plant, etc.
So a powered off-road wheelchair seems a good idea, there are nice off road walks around, and I have a vision of chasing the cheeky amazon delivery girl down the drive.
I have had one demo from ‘All Terrain Wheelchairs’ for a Magic Mobility Extreme 8 model. The salesman was very polite, patient and helpful. It has all the features I need, tho quite pricy with the features added. Heart failure vs pile of money rotting in the bank..no competition.
I recommend All Terrain Wheelchairs. But, always try at least two other different offerings before leaping in.
So I contacted TGA Mobility and asked for a demo of their Whill Model C. The first appointment they called to cancel, the girl seemed not to care if I take a new date or go away. I took the date, on the day, no show, no call or message. Guess they didn’t care. Scratch TGA Mobility.
I looked around and ‘Easy Living Mobility’ have a wide offering and 4 of the models seem interesting. So I sent in the ‘book a demo’ form. A woman from Motus Medical called me and explained Easy Living Mobility don’t sell wheelchairs at all, the ads are for Motus. She explained that Motus don’t sell 2 of the models of interest and trashed the Whill wheelchairs, evan tho Easy Living Mobility advertise them…I asked why they waste people time…’oh thats life’. I asked to check they had the correct latest version of the other 2 models for demo. She assured me they did, even tho she could not check to be sure and didn’t seem to care. I said I want to be sure I get a demo of the correct model. She hummed, erm I don’t think we are the right seller for you, and put the phone down. Never mind my £20k budget. Questions not allowed. Guess she still gets paid for selling nothing. Scratch Motus Medical.
What now?
Looking for (good) dealer(s) with the models, I want to see, and who wants to sell.
Models are: Permobil X850, Whill Model C, Ottobock C200, Meyra Optimus 2.322
RSVP
On going…..
Grumpy Gerry of Cumbria.

Hi @GerryofCumbria. So sorry it took so many times to post. I think it's because your post is long so it will be automatically picked up by the spam filter. I've deleted the duplicate posts that were released from the spam filter 😊
Hopefully one of our members will be able to give you some help with finding a dealer.
