PIP appeal win but still more wait!

in Start here and say hello!

I recently had my PIP appeal and went from zero points across the board to enhanced on both!! This has been two years in the making, so for two years I've missed out on what I need, including access to funds for a wheelchair, something I ended up having to borrow and still need to pay off.

Now after having the appeal I'm told that they have a backlog and it will be around 5 weeks before they look at my case for payment. Whilst I'm grateful to have won and have a substantial payment coming my way, I'm sick of having to wait. It's unfair in every regard.

    That's fantastic news that you've been awarded enhanced on both! Sorry that you've still got to wait for payment. At least you know it's on its way 😊

    Great news. I hate to say this but those 5 weeks can actually be anything up to 8 weeks after a Tribunal win. Hopefully, it will be sooner than that.
