Motability if I have crashed recently
Hi, my partner has FND and is currently in the process for extending her PIP so we can get a motability car. I will be the named driver and on the insurance. However I recently had an accident in my current car which is a write off I would imagine, still dealing with insurance stuff.
If I’ve had this crash and claimed through insurance for the other car that has damage, as it was my fault, will motability reject our claim? Or because she ticks all the boxes with regards to having a motability car will everything be okay?
Thanks

If anything there would be issues with you as a named driver and not with your partner joining the scheme because you will be the named driver. You need to make sure you find out if there would be any issues before ordering a vehicle and joining the scheme. There may not be but never say never, I say.

Hey @DukeBee, welcome to the community 😊 As Poppy said, it may be best to check with Motability if you meet their insurers eligibility. Your partner wouldn't be rejected from getting the vehicle, but they may reject you being a named driver. You can see a bit more information here: How do I add drivers and who can they be? | Motability Scheme
