When you say a "new claim" do you mean a "change of circumstances" ?

Hi @Njb230861 and welcome to the community!
As @AKR has asked, is this a change of circumstances? I know that waiting times can be quite long.

Ah we responded at the same time there @Njb230861!
It can take 8 weeks, or even up to 16 weeks or longer. I know that's not very helpful but it's difficult to know exact timeframes.

i was told that it only takes 3/4 weeks once you have have the phone consultation

It will likely take longer than 3-4 weeks given the extent of the back logs.

i’ve had a letter today saying they have all the information they need so they will make a decision and send a letter to let me know the decision.

That's a standard letter and there's no timescales after that. Timescales are up to 12 weeks after the assessment report was returned.
