What's your favourite film?
Mine has to be Little Shop of Horrors with Rick Moranis. The songs are amazing. The set is amazing. The acting is, well, amazing! I can't help but belt out each song as loud as I can. Has anyone seen the alternative ending? I only knew of the happy ending until a few years ago when I was traumatised by the 'bad' one!
Let me know about your favourites π

Ooh good choices. I love De Niro and have Cape Fear on my watchlist. I'm embarrassed that I haven't watched it yet! He's definitely one in a million. Have you watched Brazil? I haven't found many people who have seen it, or if they have they've disliked it as it's so weird!

Someone after my own heart @AKR - if you like Robert de Niro, then you may like my absolutely favourite film, 'Awakenings,' in which he plays the part of a sufferer of Encephalitis Lethargica (sleeping sickness) following a worldwide epidemic which occurred just after WW1.
This is based on the book by Oliver Sacks, a neurologist. Robin Williams plays Dr Sacks (I much prefer his serious roles, whilst acknowledging he was an amazing comedic actor).
Another favourite film, again based on fact, is 'Untouchable' about a wealthy tetraplegic & his unconventional carer. It's in French, but with sub-titles.
Another favourite actor is Anthony Hopkins, & another film based on fact with medical content, namely 'The Elephant Man,' played by John Hurt; not to mention 'The Remains of the Day,' 'Fracture,' 'The Two Popes,' etc.

Ooh @chiarieds I haven't seen any of the films you've mentioned, I'll add them to my list!
I love the Sixth Sense @Chris321. Shame I can't forget the twist because the first time round it was such a shock!
Does anyone like 2001: A Space Odyssey? An absolute classic with a beautiful soundtrack.

@chiarieds. People said they worked out the plot twist very early. Not me. I didn't see it coming. 2001 is definitely a masterpiece and well ahead of it's time. What did you think of the sequel.2010 With Helen Mirren and Roy Scheider

I didn't work out the twist either. It's more fun that way anyway! Well I did not know that there was a sequel. Another to add to the list π

Totally agree. Far more enjoyable if you don't know what's coming. So here's the plot and ending to 2010...β¦π

*POSSIBLE TRIGGER WARNING AS MY POST IS ABOUT DEATH AND DYING*
I love the Fast and Furious films (I haven't watched them all yet) as I love the cars they drive, especially Vin Diesel's in the first film and the Nissan Skyline the late Paul Walker drove in 2 Fast 2 Furious.
I was really upset when I found out that Paul Walker had passed away on my 31st birthday as I couldn't believe that he'd passed away. It didn't feel real even though it was on TV and social media and a newspaper app I have on my phone.
I love the fact that one of Paul's younger brothers was able to help them finish filming Fast7 (I think it was).
I have a few other favourites like the original Italian Job with Michael Caine, the original Grease with Danny and Sandy, Titanic with Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet. There's also another film that me and my brother like watching which is a modern Bollywood musical version of an old English classic film (not my type of film) called Bride and Prejudice. We love the songs in the film.

I'm quite the fan of Tarantino films, and Pulp Fiction is probably one of my favourites of his.

@Rachel_Scope mine is the one that Sandy sings on her own when she's at a sleepover with the girls.

All good choices, my ultimate all time favourite film is Star wars the first movie from 78, saw it as a child and it blew me away, just a brilliant movie, but there are lots of great choices in this thread

I still have to say the original Dune. It was just magical to me. OG star wars is also a very good shout.
