Migration claim - how long before gateway appointment
Hi, I submitted my migration claim online on August 22nd and have not yet heard anything from UC regarding the gateway interview appointment (self-employed).
Is it normal that no appointment has been booked yet? To be fair I submitted claim at the end of the day on 22nd, then there was the bank holiday weekend so its been around 6-7 working days so far.
But my first statement date is 24 September as per my journal where they will let me know what I'll be paid. So I would have to have my gateway booked soon. Should I call them?

There isn't much point in calling them. All the call handlers can do is put a message on your journal. You can put a message on the journal yourself to ask about the appointment.

Hi, I left a msg in journal last Thursday but no reply yet.

All I’ve had is the welcome to universal credit msg on August 23rd with case manager introducing herself.
that was almost 2 weeks ago now?0 -
I would have expected you to have received an appointment date by now. I'd advise you to put a message on your journal under "service issues" and then a case manager will hopefully see it.

Thanks Poppy.
I did that last Thursday. Under ‘services’ but also under ‘Payments’ and still no response. Odd.
I will send again tomorrow.1
