Hi, my name is Echo! Still no call from ESA.
Hi my ESA has not been paid in today, I contacted the ESA Department and was on hold for over 2.5 hours only to be told someone would be phoning me today. Why have this Department if they don't help you ? They couldn't give me a number to call for my local benefits and told I'd have to wait for the call. Do they understand people's anquish /anxiety is already high without explaining anything ? As yet I still have had no call. Can anyone help me please .

Hi,
Sorry to hear your ESA hasn't been paid. Unfortunately there are no direct numbers for local Job Centres now, all calls are handled by the national hub.
Have you had any change of circumstances recently or awaiting a PIP review or anything that could've stopped your ESA? If it's legacy ESA, have you received a letter to migrate to Universal Credit?
If none of the above then hopefully it was just a minor glitch and someone will be able to put the payment through manually. As it's Friday today, that payment is unlikely to come through before Monday now.

Hi, yes an overpayment which i have arranged to pay off it each week. Its just a worry when your relying on that money to help get you through. Thankyou for your comments.

Hi @Echo and welcome to the community.
I'm so sorry to hear this is causing you so much stress. They certainly don't make things easy! I find it best to try calling them as soon as the phone lines open in the morning.1 -
Hi Albus, i finally got a call just after 5.30pm yesterday. The gentleman was so apologetic and had my money in my account at around 6.15pm. It was an error on their side but I was so relieved to finally get somewhere. Thankyou to this group too for supporting me through it 😊
