Universal credit and college teen

hi! My son has just started full time college. I am wanting to move to a different area. My question is if he stays with his step dad while at college and comes home weekends and holidays do I lose universal credit for him and my housing allowance? Thanks

hi
It’s college so if he gets bursary it’s up to £1200 a year so £24 a week and I don’t think that affects uc at all same as if he works his income won’t make a difference either. I was told as long as they come home when not in college it’s ok. I’ll have to ring and ask I think although half the uc staff don’t have a clue either lol

this is college tho for a 16 year old. Never heard of a bursary that large for college tbh

ok I have no idea on that. Never heard of it. Must be certain courses at certain colleges. Thanks
