LCWRA unlike PIP doesn't have an end date.

Re assessments have been suspended for some time and I've not heard about them resuming in any significant number.

There will certainly be backlogs, years worth by now.

Heya @toby50 and welcome to the community. 😊

As others have said, please try not to worry too much, LCWRA is an ongoing award and the date is only a rough guide.

thanks for all your comments, does anyone know why all assessments have been suspended?

Simple answer is too many claimants & too few staff.

The priority is to get everyone on legacy benefits migrated to UC as soon as possible. Assessments can be delayed while they're focussing on migrations.

Everyone on these benefits yes, copied from gov.uk

Tax credits: Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit

    Housing Benefit

    Income Support

    Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)

Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

Also I'd say re assessments got derailed during covid and haven't yet recovered.

Assessment providers have just been changed

and recruitment is happening for staff. So at some point they will start in greater numbers, Liz Kendall's upcoming speech and the Budget statement (both next month) may well give additional information about this.

Next month Liz Kendall will be making a statement, and the Budget is also being announced. I'd expect more clues as to the way forward lies within those.
