Help with pip assessment

Update I had a paper reviewed assessment, and have just received this text today, We've received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we've made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you.

But I did not have a assessment, does this mean I probably won't get it? I know I probably won't, but is there a chance?

That report will have been written using the information from your PIP form. That is how a paper based assessment works.

It does not mean anything more than it says. It is just a report, it now has to go to the decision maker to make the final decision. It does not mean a positive or negative outcome yet. 🙂

If it does end up being negative, which is most likely going to happen knowing pip, when can I appeal is it right after?

Yes, you can make a Mandatory Reconsideration as soon as you receive the decision letter if you disagree with it.

Thank you, would you say since I haven't had an assessment could there be a chance I have it? I'm scared I won't, but I know I should have it.

Yeah, there is still a good chance that you'll get it. 🙂

Since I received the text today, could I ask for a copy of my written report today?

Yes, you can ask for a copy of the report as soon as you get the text. Please be aware that it is not the final decision though. And you cannot start the MR appeal until you receive the final decision letter. So the report could cause unnecessary stress in the meantime. It is entirely your decision on whether to request it or not.
