Having bad nights.

I am currently struggling at night with sleeping. I am currently unable to wear my ventilator at night when I go to sleep. As a result, I am waking up a lot (sometimes every hour or not even an hour), having a nightmare most times that I fall asleep throughout the night, and I'm waking up with huge headaches (sometimes from bad dreams as well). My nightmares are really bad and as a disabled user who can't get out of bed on their own, I'm struggling and scared to fall asleep. I just want to have a good night sleep.
I'm really tired and sad at the minute as I haven't had a good night sleep in over a week or two. If I wake up from a bad dream then I never want to go back to sleep as I'm scared but have to if it is really early and so I don't have a nap.
I'm not able to go back to college at the minute as their facilities aren't working that I need to be there, I don't do much in the day, and I'm struggling with loads of issues from family, appointments, boredom, and other things.
I'm scared to go to sleep every night because of my nightmares I have. Even as a child I have always hated going to sleep. Instead of asking to stay up later as I got older, I used to ask how early I could wake up. But now I stay up later because I'm scared of going to sleep.

I have similar problems with my sleep apnoea and hey fever. Im also super scared of sleeping, due to my hyperphantasia, i feel the dreams even more intensively, and doesnt help that my grandad died in his sleep when i was 8.

I can't sleep without a light unless my family sleep with me.
I'm so sorry to hear about your health issues and your grandad.

maybe talk to the doctor, they might be able to give you something to sleep.

Yeah, I just want to have something right with me. Instead of having loads of health issues and everything else in my life right now that has gone wrong.

Hi @SunflowerValley I am sorry you are finding it so difficult to sleep. I think having a word with your doctor would be a good idea. You could perhaps mention that you are also unable to use your ventilator at night. Please take care of yourself.

Hi @Bluebell21 Yeah, we have mentioned the ventilator and it should hopefully have a humidifier in by the end of this week so I don't get nose bleeds (that is the reason I can't have it on). I will, hope you are okay.

You know having headaches due to weather changes and pressure changes is a huge cause of headaches, i get them like that as well so did my ex-wife and plenty others i know. And thats when i know to take painkillers right away and before bed so that i dont get forced to wake up with headaches! Seriously the weather changed dramatically recently!

Good morning @Lou67, thank you. I actually didn't have too bad of a night. Woke up once in at 6am and maybe another time but no nightmares. 😊❤️
Good morning @JF7891, yeah. They are so painful and it hurts all over my head, the back of my neck, and sometimes my eyes. But I woke up a few times but no nightmares, and a not that painful headache that is barely there.
Good morning @Bluebell21, thank you. I only woke up once or twice, but it was after 6am so nearly a full nights sleep. And I had no nightmares and only woke up to a small headache.
