Hi,
To make £318 a fortnight I think he is aged over 25, and in the support group of ESA?
ESA - £90.50
EDP - £20.85
Support Group - £47.70
Weekly Total = 159.05
Fortnightly total = £318.10If he lives with you, and you don't receive any disability benefits yourself, then he won't be eligible for SDP anyway. SDP is only for people living alone and receiving disability benefits such as PIP daily living.

As you were claiming Income Support then you would have been entitled to that because you were claiming Carers allowance. As you're claiming this then your son would not be entitled to SDP even if he lived alone.
To answer your question, you claiming carers allowance will not affect his current benefits.
