CAN I GET CLAIM BACKDATED

in Universal Credit (UC)

Hi I've Finally Managed to Apply for UC for my 19 yr old Son.
His on Enhanced PIP & a FULL Time Student at College.
If Claim is Successful, can He get this UC Backdated to August when he was Removed from Our UC Claim ?

    UC can only usually be backdated for a maximum of 1 month in the most extreme circumstances.

    Ok Thankyou. Just Thought i'd Check.
    We was Late Putting Claim in Due to NOT being made aware he was being removed at 19 instead of 20 (like CTC was). Then 3 x UC Workers giving Us WRONG Info & saying he Wasn't Eligible. Took us A Month to Find Someone Who Could Help Us.
    I'm in Process of Putting Complaint into UC as advised by CAB. As the number i called for advise is the Number UC should of given me in the First Place. Meaning i would of originally applied for UC end of August :(
