Pip claim

Devastating! Just received my pip form back scoring 0-12 And now i have no hope in getting the award if i appeal as i am suffering with a amuptated pinky that is always numb and u comfortable and when hit on something stings and hurts! Yet i can obviously bath and walk etc but it's left me with anxiety too! I see no hope and I've spoken to family members that have tried to claim pip for worse things and they didnt get awarded, now i don't know what to do and feel my time has been wasted!

Well it doesn't matter if you've had your arm amputated as it's about what you can't do and why vs the descriptiors.. An amputated finger seems unlikely to score many points to be honest but anxiety could.. bathing yourself doesn't really matter if you go days without bathing and need prompting? Seems you don't know how Pip works or what its for.

Whether it's possible to score enough of points needed for an award will depend on how your conditions affect you. If you don't meet the descriptors you won't score the points needed.
Before challenging the decision I'd advise you to get some expert advice from an agency near you so you can tell them how your conditions affect you and they will be able to advise if it's possible to score enough of points. This link will help you find an agency near you.
Or you can have a read of this link and hopefully it will help to give you a little more understand of the descriptors and what they mean.
If you then think it's possible to score those points you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) You should put that in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. Please do not ring them to request it.

Hi @Jayjay14, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you feel you've wasted your time.
As others have explained, PIP is not about a particular diagnosis or condition, it focuses on what you can or can't manage daily. Poppy's posted a link to the descriptors they use to decide awards, so if you haven't already, that might be a good place to read what they're looking for and decide whether PIP is for you 😊
If you have any questions, please don't be afraid to ask.
