DLA Child: Mandatory Reconsideration

Hi,
We have just completed the DLA Child Renewal for my 5 year old daughter and have been awarded the care component at the higher rate (again) and the mobility care component at the lower rate (she previously wasn’t eligible to apply for mobility due to her age).
However, I believe the mobility component should have been awarded at the higher rate and have requested a mandatory reconsideration.
My 2 questions are:
1. Will the DLA Child payments stop during the mandatory reconsideration?
2. If the answer to my first question is ‘Yes’, am I able to withdraw my request for the mandatory reconsideration?

The existing award will continue while you wait for the MR decision.

Hey @EL10TNY and welcome to the community.
As Poppy has said, nothing will change whilst you want for the result of the MR. Changes only happen after said result. I'll keep everything crossed for you.0
