Any Neurodiverse folks out there with Personal Budgets or trying to access one?
Do Say Hello . . Any Neurodiverse folks out there with Personal Budgets or trying to access one ?
Please share any advice, tips or recommendations of any organisations that have been helpful to you along the way, maybe advocacy, care planning or finally providing support?
As I am feeling very lost and alone with all this and figure I cannot possibly be the only one . . .
I am a 44 AUDHD (late diagnosed obvs) gal living in Walthamstow.
Unbelievably I have managed to secure a Personal Budget but cannot use it right now as I can’t afford the client contribution. Every month since Feb this year the council has paid their contribution into my Direct Payment account and the balance is now £1846.59. It's so frustrating.
In May I asked for advocacy to help me appeal the financial contribution and resubmit my financial assessment and to support me to navigate the system as I am struggling.
- If anyone has had a similar experience to me or any advice do share?
