Pip review extension for forms

Hi all, hope everyone is well
I received my pip review txt message and received the forms exactly one week later. I called up pip today as I have alot to write- and can only manage a little a day- , and requested an extension which they gave me an extra 2 weeks.
I just wanted to ask does pip give you any sort of verification for this extension? I did read online that I should write to dwp saying that they have given me this extension, is this true?
Thank u for any help.

I've always asked for extra time to return the form and usually it's 2 weeks. They don't usually send out confirmation of this and you'll very likely still receive a letter if they haven't received the form by the date in the letter because that is automatically generated. Usually they put a note on the system that you have those extra weeks.
If you want you can ring them to ask them to send you a letter of proof that you have those extra 2 weeks. I wouldn't write to them because it can take a couple of weeks to receive this and they often don't acknowledge it.

Thank you @poppy123456 , I will do that. Also if I do manage to get it done, and send it off before the original deadline, would that be OK? Pip recieving it before the original deadline- not the extention.

You're welcome. That will be fine. It doesn't matter when you send it as long as they receive it before the extended deadline. Please make sure you keep copies of everything for yourself and get proof of posting, which is free from any post office.

Always get an extension because no way could I do it in a month. I take all the time I can and send it back normally signed for so I know it's in on time.
