Hi, my name is ancojo! Will the work allowance rise in April?
First hello to everyone /\/\/\/\
I was wondering if the ‘work allowance’ you can earn before your Universal Credit payment is reduced would rise from the current £404 due to the changes in carers allowance and uplift in benefits in April?
Thanks

The work allowance usually increases In April along with the increases with National Minimum wage.
Carers allowance is just deducted in full from any UC entitlement so the changes with the earnings increase for carers allowance doesn't really mean much when you claim UC anyway.
Make sure your UC includes the carers element, unless you also receive the LCWRA element for yourself and then both can't be paid to the same person. There's no earnings limit to carers element like there is with carers allowance.
