Attendance allowance

HI.I have been caring for my elderly neighbour for 2 months now. He went to check his bank on the 4th when his attendance allowance is paid. He did not receive his payment. Has anyone got any ideas why this would be. He does not receive any type of disability element. Just attendance allowance. Do you think he needs to make a fresh claim. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

It would be impossible for anyone here to tell you what happened to his payments. Did he contact AA to ask them? If he hasn't then he will need to ring them. They are the only ones that can tell him what's happened.
Attendance Allowance helpline
Telephone: 0800 731 0122

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm
He should not start a new claim until he knows why he didn't receive payment because it could be an error.

Thanks poppy. I only realised yesterday when he asked me to fetch him some money. As you know they are closed at the weekend. He is really worried about this. I have had to keep him calm since yesterday morning
