U.C review
hi everyone I’m a little worried .
I’ve received a message in “to do list”
I’ve been asked to send passport plus front and side pics , plus 4 months banks statement?
My bank is not registered at my address, will this cause a problem and should I be worried about all these requests?
I’ve done nothing wrong but still worrying.

Nothing to worry about.
UC are doing millions of these checks at random.
I had one last September and lots of other members here have had one.
The process is submit the information they ask for.
Then you will have a telephone interview.
You'll be asked a series of scripted questions about other potential sources of money.
Then questions about some of your banking transactions, which might not appear to make any sense.
I myself (as capital was over £6k on paper) was then asked to submit individual bank statement pages showing my CoL payments.
Then I had a journal message saying my review was complete and my payments were correct.
You'd need to explain to them why your bank statements don't have the same address as your UC account.
During my check they said transaction screen prints were no good, they needed official statements with my name and address on.

Hi @Phensic24, welcome to the online community 😊
I know it seems worrying but it is a routine check that is being carried out randomly on Universal Credit accounts. There isn't much more I can add as Kimmy87's experience of it says it all really!
Please do let us know if you have any specific worries or any other questions.

just one last question, can they actually obtain my bank statements from the bank or access my account?

For these compliance checks claimants have to supply statements.
There are various data matching processes that go on behind the scenes, DWP have some legal powers, but I don't know much more than that.
