Hi, my name is mrsg1! Will my daughter's job affect my housing element?
hi my daughter is 18 and lives home with me she has left college and has just got a job full time, will her working now affect the housing element on my uc? I know I will no longer be entitled to discounts on my council tax but worried it will affect the help I get with my rent also ?

I only work part time and can’t afford the full rent if they stop the help I get on the housing element

As she is under 21, no non dependant deduction will be made to your UC Housing Element.
Does anyone in the household claim Daily Living PIP?

aweee that’s great!
Nobody gets pip but my son is 13 and I get carers allowance for him and dla ?
Will this be affected ?0 -
No, I was just checking as Daily Living PIP for yourself, partner or daughter would mean a longer term exclusion from the non dependant deduction.
Anyway, until your daughter turns 21 your UC Housing Element won't be affected by her working.
