when I had LCWRA it was paid straight away and the back dated amount from the time I filled out the form was paid separately. I have read recently that now your first payment is now paid three months after you have been awarded LCWRA so I am assuming it’s not backdated to the time the form was filled out anymore. I am not certain how accurate that is but I definitely read it somewhere.

you have to wait 3 full aps from when made the claim before any payments are made. Been like this for many years

Hi Ellie, LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from when you handed in your first Fit Note. No money is owed or paid for this waiting period.

A few questions to advise further:

Are you single or claiming UC with a partner? If yes, do they get LCWRA?

Do you have Transitional Protection or Carers Element on your claim?

What was the date you handed in your first Fit Note?

    Any gaps in providing those?

    Your UC assessment period dates.
