if I already been awarded pip why do I need another medical assessment?

    PIP awards are for a fixed period of time, when that time period approaches the re assessment is to re check eligibility.

    If this is for a Universal Credit Work Capability Assessment, then this has different criteria to PIP and as a separate benefit is administered by a different department. One doesn't count towards the other unfortunately.
