I receive lcwra , I still have a job that I am supplying fit notes for as I am waiting for heart surgery , hubby gets state pension and we get some HB , my question is I am owed holiday pay from last year HR have said I can pause my fit note and take my holiday, about 12 days , will I just lose any uc in that ap then will it go back to normal the next month thank you for any help .

    UC is based on earnings received each assessment period. As you have LCWRA then you also have the work allowance, which is £404/month. For every £1 of earnings received over that amount your UC is reduced by 55p.

    If your UC is reduced to zero during the month you receive holiday pay then your UC will remain open. If no earnings are received the following month your UC payment will return to normal.

    For the avoidance of doubt, you will only be claiming HB if you live in either temporary or supported housing. If not, your rent will be included with UC known as housing element.
