Pip text

Hi
I filled in my pip review 2 months ago then this morning i got a text from them saying they still had my review application, i might still need a medical assessment and i don't need to contact them unless my condition changes and my payments would continue untill they jave made a discission.
I haven't tried to contact them since sending off the form. But i do have 2 hospital appointments before christmas so might have more evidence for my review can i add this to ghe review it still has 5 months to go.
Is this text normal or is it a way of telling me they're going to stop the award.
Any one else get itand does anyone know how long the wait is my anxiety is already getting bad through the worry of not knowing and the goverment overhauling it is making my disability worse.
ThThank you for any help

The text is a standard text that many people receive during their review. You can send them extra evidence at anytime but please make sure you have the correct address and put your name and NI number on everything you send.
There's extremely long delays with review decisions and you could be waiting up to about a year for a decision. My review decision took about 11 months. If a decision hasn't been made by the time your PIP is due to end it will be extended for up to 1 year.

Thanks poppy123456
I got really stressed when i first applied and this is my first review so not sure what to expect. Do they tell you its been extended by letter or it just carries on with no notification.
Many thanks

They send a letter which is usually sent out about 35 days before your award is due to end.

You're welcome. There's no doubt at all that it's very stressful and most people feel the same way.
Try to distract yourself while you wait, otherwise the time will go extremely long.
