Pip

hi I applied for PIP in September I got the normal txs and then I have a phone call out the blue for additional information which lasted no more than 10 minutes then got a tx to say my paperwork has been sent over then I got a text a couple weeks ago saying that they’re still looking into my decision. I phoned up Pip and they did a paper base assessment. Is this good or bad? Still waiting for a decision? Also got a letter through the post saying they have received all information and I should hear with a decision

It doesn’t mean anything other than you had a paper based assessment. The letter you received is a standard letter. Timescales for decisions is up to 12 weeks after the report was returned.

Hi,
A paper based decision isn't good or bad. All it means is they had enough information to complete the report without having to go through a full verbal assessment.
All you can do for now is wait for the decision. Good luck. 🙂

Welcome to the community and best of luck with your claim @mummyof3! As others have said, it doesn't mean much to have had a paper assessment and it shouldn't affect your result in any way. Fingers crossed you get the result you're looking for and you're not waiting too long to hear 😊
