Pip tribunal success

Hello everyone
I had my tribunal today for my pip claim, the panel consisted of a judge, doctor, disability expert and a representative from dwp.
I was very nervous going in but just explained my day to day life, the dwp rep spoke to the judge saying he would like to change 2 parts on my award so I now qualify for the standard daily living rate which will be backdated to Nov 2023.
I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from me, I just cried when they explained I was being awarded.
It's been a long journey and I'm so relieved it has finally been sorted out.
Can anyone advise on how long payments take please?

That's great news. It can take anything up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer to put the award into payment and pay what is owed. As it's now very closed to Xmas and the New year I would think it will be in the New year that this will be put into payment.

Hi @jolene1972
Thank you for sharing this positive news with us, it must feel like such a relief!
Due to it being Christmas and New Year, you will probably receive payment in the New Year.0 -
Hi, congratulation, having been through this process it can be very stressful,
Personally for me, i had my tribunal on 10th sept 2024, got a decision letter 13th Sept awarding enhanced both, I received the backpay from July 23 into my account on 24th September and received the official confirmation of award from DWP on 18th October.
Regardless, again well done on your award.
