Hi my sons dla award has changed and been backdated do I tell uc and will the elements change ? Thank you

    Hi @Lucy_912 - & welcome to the community. As far as your son's DLA affecting the disabled child element of UC goes it's the lower rate that would be payable if his DLA award is for the lowest/middle rate for the care/mobility component , & the higher rate if he now has the higher DLA rate for the care component.

    The amounts are £156.11 a month for the lower rate, & £487.58 a month for the higher rate.

    If this affects the disabled child element so that he should now receive the lower rate, or if it would mean a change to the higher rate, then you should report this to UC via your journal.
