Hi, my name is Esther0! Can you help my friend?

Hello, I would like to help a friend of mine who has been completely ruined both mentally and physically in the last 4 years. I would really like to help him because I know he is a very good person, but because we were not born in England and in recent years immigrants have not been the most popular people, they generally do not like to help us. I think the first thing that needs help is for my friend to find his way back among people, so that he does not just talk to me (he is completely isolated due to his illness). He has asthma, coughs a lot, due to hypothyroidism he has gained more than 20 kg., his hair has fallen out and partly because of this he has mental problems. He is currently not working, but we are looking for an opportunity. I thinthat if we brainstorm together, we could find something sooner. Would you help my friend? Her name is Esther, she is over 60 years old, she used to farm with her parents when she was young, later she worked as a caregiver for the elderly. Here in England she worked as a cleaner, she is a very friendly and helpful person, when she is relaxed in the company she can be very creative. If you think Esther does not fit in with you, could you help me which organization to look for, I need to find something, because I feel my dear friend is going to ruin.

Hi @Esther0, welcome to the community. I'm sorry to hear your friend is struggling so much.
If your friend would like some support looking for work, they could have a look at Scope's employment services:
Employment support services | Disability charity Scope UK
There are a few different things to try there, hopefully something is suitable. They might also like to look into volunteering if they'd feel able to do that. It would be a lot less pressure than work if your friend struggles with their health:
Volunteering to develop your skills | Disability charity Scope UK
Does your friend have any hobbies? Sometimes joining a local group can help someone feel less isolated. Near where I live we have groups for people who like knitting or crafts, perhaps there's something like that near you? Often local libraries will have an idea of what kind of groups there are locally.
I hope there's some opportunities out there that can help your friend feel less isolated 😊

Hi Rosie, thank you, we have already taken, a small step forward. I don't know if you can help me move forward, if not, who should I write a letter to? My friend Eszter receives almost no medical help. Her papers are in order, that's not the problem. In fact, we don't understand what the problem is. I'm just saying very broad and very harsh things now, so you can see what an impossible situation Eszter is in. It started with Covid (Eszter didn't even have a doctor before Covid, because she was never sick) Eszter had 2 Covid infections 3 months apart, during those three months Eszter gained 25kg, her hair fell out in patches (that's why we cut her hair bald) she started having a constant cough that lasts to this day, she has a constant infection and inflammation somewhere in her body (e.g. 1 year and 6 months of diarrhea, cholecystitis, ear inflammation). I don't know exactly how long, but she was on the wrong medicine for a long time. Then he was given painkillers (but without information, he didn't know that the medicine was opioid-based) and in the meantime they constantly joke, mock, make comments about him, and because the inflammations were also accompanied by pain, when he complained, they always suggested that if he was already taking the painkillers, he should take more and feel better, his condition is constantly worsening, now his breathing is so shallow that he has to stop to rest while walking. Because all this happens in the doctors' offices and because the manager doesn't even respond to the complaint letter, we can't find help. You, maybe you know who we could talk to, thank you for your patience and help E and a friend
thanks for the good advice, I'm sure there will what, some that will help out.
