Does anybody know the number I would phone to check the status, of a claim made for Severe Disability Premium.

I have phoned the ESA x4(not their department) and the SDP group (number no longer available) 🤯

    It would be the usual ESA number you need to ring, the same one you rang to claim it. There's no separate number to ring that I know of.

    Thankyou Poppy. I rang the one I always ring, whoever answered the phone, probably just couldn't de bothered to go into it, at nearly home time 🤨 it was about half 3 when I rang.

    I will try again tomorrow, but with stronger resolve now I know I'm dialling the correct number.

    No Problem. They don't close until 5pm. Sadly, sometimes you'll find someone that isn't helpful. Hopefully when you ring tomorrow they will be more helpful.

    I phoned ESA today on 0800 1690310, and spoke to an extremely helpful man. The claim I made on 19.12.2024 hadn't been stored in the correct place ( so it hadn't been actioned🙄) however the man said, as they should have began processing (within 10 days) he would send the wrongly placed information directly to the correct department, and I should receive a callback within 10 days, but if I hadn't heard anything by 22nd Jan 2025 to call them and chase it up.
