UC savings review terror

I have had a routine UC savings review. But there were complications about some sums, where I had to get documents and it took ages. All sent in now. I already had deductions for savings over 6k, well below 16k. Now I am very scared of their decision. This has been eating at me for weeks. I am autistic and mentally ill and get no NHS/council support and there are no good autism charities here. Just torn apart with fear of losing my rented home etc. I am in my 60s and physically disabled but not yet pension age.

If they knew about all of the capital you have there shouldn’t be anything to be concerned about. Hopefully you will hear from them soon.

There was some I forgot about. Not over the limit. I spent it on disability equipment. But I don't know what they will decide.

Have you tried speaking to the National Autistic society? They are based in London. Anyone can call their help line, they will help try to answer any concerns you have, this will be an issue for many people with Autism. My two adult son's are both on the Autistic spectrum and are both very different from each other. ive called the help line many times, over the past years and have found them to be very helpful. They will understand how difficult this process can be for people on the spectrum. Neither of my son's like changes. My oldest is on ESA SG and he hasn't received a date yet for migration, I will have to help him with the whole process but hopefully my experience I'm having as im currently going through the process, will help us. if at any stage I'm worried about how he is coping with it I would ask and seek out the support tailored around his needs.
